Elaine Hua
Your Newborn Artist
Elaine has spent over 20 years pursuing her interest in photography. A walk in the park, a day at the seaside, respite at the coffee shop would turn out to be an adventure capturing a leaf, a shell, people in their midst of everyday life. Often losing herself to the moment, she will end up spending the entire morning or day capturing the magic that unfolds before her. Cultivating this has help Elaine to be mindful of her surrounding and to see beauty in the little things in life.

Her two young nephews have given her endless hours of joy, be it babysitting or photographing their misadventures. This sparked Elaine’s interest to create and capture the very beginnings of life. To achieve this, she has sought out training to handle newborns and completed her certification course by Ana Brandt, one of the top newborn photographer in the world.
Having worked as a Graphic Designer and a Personal Assistant, Elaine has often had to bring the qualities of ‘Creativity’ and ‘Organisation’ together to accomplish her objectives. And now she brings those same qualities, as well as her love for photography and newborns, into 1004 Photography.

About 1004
1004 is October 4th, Elaine’s birthday. She chose this to remind her of the path chosen – capturing the magical moments that is briefly shared with us by newborns.

1004, when pronounced as ‘one thousand four’, is pronounced as “cheonsa” (천사) in Korean. “Cheongsa” means angel and in Korea, October 4th is also known as “Day of Angels”
